Welcome to Saint Raphael Parish!
We hope that our web site prompts you to come for a personal visit. Please explore its features as a way of discovering our community – but know that your presence is always welcome at our worship, celebrations and activities!
Founded in 1888, Saint Raphael the Archangel Parish is a lively community of faith and service in Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester in New Hampshire. With more than 700 families, Saint Raphael embraces some 3,000 Catholics on the West Side of Manchester and beyond. From its beginning, Saint Raphael has been confided to the care of the Benedictine monks of Saint Anselm Abbey, who also conduct Saint Anselm College.
Saint Raphael provides its members with many parish programs such as liturgical service, religious education, youth ministry, service to the poor, bereavement and consolation activities, social activities, arts and environmental work in the surrounding community. Our parish is host to Saint Benedict Academy, a kindergarten through Grade 6 school with about 140 students that is operated by the diocese. The school principal is Michael McLaughlin, and he is assisted by a volunteer school board and a council on Catholic identity.
I hope you enjoy exploring and using this web site, and, again, I invite newcomers to visit and learn about this wonderful parish!
Wishing you abundant blessings in the Lord’s love,
Fr. Jerome Joseph Day, O.S.B., Ph.D
